SC21 Recognition Awards achieved by TEC clients to date –
SC21 Silver Award for High-Tech Engineering
Not content with the existing high levels of sustained delivery and quality performance High-Tech Engineering continued their drive for excellence and have now become the first organization to demonstrate SC21 sustainability and in the process they have also extended their SC21 business group and gained a substantial amount of new work – again actively assisted by TEC. Their improved Business Excellence and Manufacturing Excellence scores coupled with the improvements in quality and delivery resulted in the presentation of the an SC21 Silver Recognition Award at the SC21 Task Force Meeting on 15 October 2009.
To quote Steve Tickner (MD - Hi Tech Engineering): "The SC21 journey has fundamentally changed our company and is continuing to do so. The CSIP has given focus and some additional formality to our ongoing improvement process. It has also become something that is visible to employees and customers alike".
SC21 Bronze Award for Gardner (Basildon)
Completing a 9-month improvement programme based on their initial CSIP Gardner (Basildon) were presented with the first SC21 Bronze Recognition Award by GKN Aerospace at the {SC21 Taskforce Meeting} at Thales Defence on 9 December 2007. The CSIP emerged from an in-depth SC21 Stakeholder Commitment Programme undertaken by TEC which identified the company’s strengths and AFIs (areas-for-improvement).
Gardner see their award as the first step in their companywide CI campaign driven by SC21. Their plans include upgrading to a Silver Recognition Award by the end of this year with ‘Gold in their sights’ for 2110!
SC21 sustainable continual improvement for High-Tech Engineering
Actively facilitated by TEC High-Tech Engineering achieved their SC21 Bronze Recognition Award in June 2008. Following the SC21 Implementation Planning session for High-Tech’s Senior Management the SC21 Stakeholder Commitment Programme was undertaken over 2-months, culminating in the CSIP to prioritized issues and plan the required improvement activities.
The SC21 Deployment Programme followed over 6-months that succeeded in implementing all of the prioritized projects and culminated in the award of their SC21 Bronze Recognition Award by Phil Curnock of the SC21 Office. Having made this significant 'first step', High-Tech continued to improve their delivery and quality performance and gained a Silver SC21 Recognition Award this year again assisted by TEC.
SC21 Bronze Award for TODs Aerospace
TODS (Aerospace) receive their [{SC21} Bronze Award] at the {SC21 Task Force} Meeting at Rolls-Royce, Derby, UK.
Sponsored by their Lead Key Customer – GKN Aerospace – TODs achieved their SC21 Award in record time. TEC delivered the SC21 Stakeholder Commitment Programme to provide empowerment training for the management team and undertake the detailed SC21 diagnostics required for the CSIP. TODs are now supporting WEAF in the South West to promote the benefits of SC21 for SMEs.
