Lean - senior management commitment workshop

This interactive 1-day ‘orientation’ course and workshop is specifically aimed at senior management to ensure that their organizations reap the maximum bottom-line benefit (£) from deploying lean manufacturing principles and practices.

The course and workshop has been formally approved by the SC21 community and includes a full explanation of the SC21 MES (manufacturing excellence score) process and related diagnostics and management commitment questionnaires. Workshop highlights include –

Concise explanation of the ‘5-steps to Lean’ and an overview (with practical illustrations) of lean characteristics, tools and approaches, the 7-Quality Tools and Kanban.

Guidance in the use of the SC21 manufacturing excellence assessment process to determine a manufacturing excellence rating (score) –

instruction in how to interpret and understand the principles and practices required to ensure that a valid scored diagnostic of Lean Enterprise is obtained
conducting the manufacturing excellence ‘shop floor diagnostics’ in 2 (two) areas/cells
conducting the manufacturing excellence ‘management commitment diagnostics’ with the top management team
collating, weighting and adding the two scores
analysing and discussing the results with top management and the SC21 Champion
agreeing and planning iimprovement activities to address the overall manufacturing excellence rating and drive future improvements
allocating resources and responsibilities for the proposed activities to act as feeds into the CSIP

Attendees will receive a formal SC21 Certificate to demonstrate their competition of the first stage in becoming an SC21 Manufacturing Excellence Practitioner.
