TEC’s tried and tested SC21 Lean Deployment Programme is a crucial part of SC21 implementation and follows on from the ‘diagnostics’ and formulation of an organization’s first ‘CSIP’.
The programme commences with an in-depth assessment of the current use of lean approaches and techniques to identify obvious ‘gaps’ and, of equal importance, shortcomings in the strategic inclusion of lean in the organization’s business plan – with special reference to corporate KPIs.
Once the current situation is established and agreed with top management, a strategic plan for lean is developed to deliver exactly what is required, in the correct sequence, and involving all levels within the organization –
Because the basic lean toolkit will always be involved, the following elements are included in every programme, in the sequence indicated –
Measuring lean benefits

Working with top management to identify appropriate lean approaches to adopt and how to plan lean deployment. The emphasis is always on the financial benefits and use is made of the EFQM 'RADAR' tool
Presenting MES findings

Presenting the results of an SC21 Manufacturing Excellence assessment score to a top management team – agreeing ‘strengths’ and ‘areas-for-improvement’
Deploying lean companywide

Effectively deploying lean enterprise in design and manufacturing through practical training, coaching and project management
