AATT 9100 group role paly session The AATT (Aerospace Auditor Transition Training) is the course which has been mandated and sanctioned by the IAQG for all current AAs, AEAs, and AIEAs.

Successful completion (>80%) meets the new training requirement for AS/EN9100:2009 (“Rev C”), AS/EN9110:2009 and AS/EN9120:2009.

AATT 9110 written examination session The AATT course replaces the 91XX Foundation Courses for AEAs and AAs. Students who pass with 80% or more will receive a certificate of successful completion, which satisfies the training requirement for individual QMS and Aerospace Auditor certifications through the IRCA.

AATT Courses are scheduled on a regular basis at the Woodland Grange Conference Centre, Leamington Spa, UK:

AATT 9100 'face-to-face' training (days #1 - #3), individual interviews (day #4), plus on-line Knowledge & Application examinations for AATT9100 and AATT 9120 (optional)
AATT 9110 'face-to-face' training (day #5) plus AATT9110 on-line Knowledge and Application examinations

9100 and 9110 Aerospace Industry Specific Courses

These 3-day TPAB (A|D|S) approved courses are intended for internal auditors and potential CB auditors who are already ISO 9001:2008 savvy, and need to make the transition to Aerospace Experienced Auditor status. Separate courses are available for AS/EN9100 and AS/EN9110.

Students who successfully complete the Course & Exam will be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of the aerospace/defence industry, regulatory requirements, and related industry-specific best practices and procedures.

The 3-day courses addresse the following topics through interactive training, individual & group assignments and workshop sessions –

Quality perspective of the aerospace/defence industry
Overview Civil Aviation Authority roles, responsibilities, and regulations, including how to obtain additional information
Principles of Military aerospace requirements and regulations, including how to obtain additional information
Overview government space organization roles, responsibilities, and regulations, including how to obtain additional information
Overview airworthiness and aviation safety requirements, including how to obtain additional information
Aerospace Quality Management Systems – using the process approach
Overview of AS/EN9100:2009 or AS/EN9110:2009 requirements
Design, development, verification, and validation processes specific to the aerospace industry
The process of FAI (first article inspection) in line with AS/EN9102A
Aerospace material traceability requirements and accountability systems
Identification of aerospace subcontractor approval and control requirements
Process capability studies and basic SPC for handling variation management of key characteristics (AS/EN9103)
Quality requirements ‘flow down’ of requirements
Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention program requirements
Use of customer property and supplied products
MSE, calibration controls and positive recall system
Acceptance authority media and stamp control
Special processes – including Nadcap
Identification of nonconforming material, system requirements, and operation
Sampling inspection requirements and limitations
Program/project management in the aerospace industry
The risk management process
Mission assurance/safety
Configuration management/requirements control – ‘mod status’

Instruction is through a combination of quizzes, continual evaluation throughout the duration of the course plus a written and multiple-choice answer examination. Exam duration is 1½ hours – the IRCA pass-mark is 70%.
